The committee of the Canterbury Yacht and Motor-boat Club met in the Club House on Saturday evening, the Commodore, Mr W- T. I.ejter, occupying the chair. Final arrangements were made in connexion with the smoke oonrert. which is to be held hi the Lytteltor. Club on February 11th, in honour of the vi.-iiin; yachtsmen and delegates who arc attending the Sande-.s. and Cornwell Cup The secretary reported that the visiting creu i would be arriving early in the week, the Sv.ithland representatives being due by the second express to-day. the Otago crews on Tuesday evening, the North Island representatives arriving later in the week.
