Kotly in tho week Tuscans wcro sold in Canterbury sit Cs on trucks, but to-day they are offering at 6» IW. Threshing lit now becoming general in Canterbury, and tho quality of (ho wheal is exceptionally good. In this tlintrict no crops have yet been cut, hut a start will bo made on the Taicri next week. This, however, is only with autumnsown crops, the spring-sown being much later. Yields aro not expected to bo as good, owing to a {ait proportion of tho crops having been under water early in tho uoanon. Fowl Wheat—This market has been atipplied with a shipment from Australia, and somo of the earliest-threshed wheat in from Canterbury has also been sold for this purpose. The present valuo is round about 7a a bushel, sacks eitra.

Oats—There is nothing fresh to report iu this line. Business has been very quiet. A Gortons are on oiler at "3s 2d and B (trade at 2s lid, f.0.b.,. s.i., without attracting much attention. The (jenernl tendency for buyers 'is to wait off until the new season's oats are available. Some of these have been sold in tho Canterbury district at 2s 6d for A Cartons. This is "the present value for any small lots offering around here, with B grade 2s 3d, sacks uttra, on trucks.
