PORT BUSY.

Numerous vessels are in port or due to arrive to-day, and the Lyttelton wharves presented a busy sight yesterday. The following thips aro discharging: Elkridge 200 tons of general cargo; Karetu, 340 tons of general cargo and 1200 tons of coal; Mernoo, 1000 tons of coal; Waipori, 250 tons of cement, also sheep; Moeraki, 700 tons of general cargo. The following vessels were due yesterday:—Kamona, 250 tons of coal and a number of sheep; Totara, 400 tons of general cargo. The Auantba was taking in 580 tons of general cargo, tho Cvgnet 140 tons, and the Waipiata 580* tons.
