PIGEON FLYING.
The Christchurch Homing Pigeon Society flew s yearling race from Baldatha recently. The birds were liberated by the stationmaster in fair weather, with • etronr nor'-esst wind, which prevented them from homing early. The winning bird, Mr A. Lyet.' No. 380, flew the distance of 330 mites in 7hr 59mm. The resnlts are a* follows: Yds. Per Min. A. Lyes' No. 880 .. ..792 J. Crowtaer'i No. 1469 .. 789 S. Strong's No. 1808 .. 780 Y.
