At the last meeting of the Canterbury Justices' Association, the following applications for membership were confirmed:—Meednnies Annie E. Herbert and Elizabeth B. Taylor, and Messrs Charles Hill (Woolstci:), Thomas Feather (Little Hirer), and James Davidson (Kaikour*). It was decided to hold the next members' social on Saturday, March 19th, and Messrs W. \V. Seed and A. Williatna wore appointed a deputation to wait on Professor J. Mactnillan-JJrown to request him to grre the Association ft snort ad* dress on that oceaswn.
