HEARSE BURNED.
ENGINE BACKFIRED. [THE PBBBS Special Berries.] AUCKLAND, February 4. A hearse, owned by Messrs Little and Sons, undertakers, waa completely destroyed by fire at Waikumete. The vehicle, which was valued at £6OO, was leaving tho cemetery after an interment when the engine backfired and sot fire to tho woodwork.
