SYDNEY, February 3
A wireless message from Bulolo, in tho mandated territory of Now Guinen, states that an expedition is investigating the murders of native carriers by natives on the Bulolo River. It found evidences of cannibalism on a largo scale in native villages. Apparently the native carriers who wero reported as deserters during Hie Inst 12 months were murdered and eaten.
The expedition encountered severe opposition, was several times ambushed, and was compelled to fire in selfdefence, wounding a ifumber of natives.
