SHIP'S FIREMAN CUTS HIS THROAT.

WELLINGTON, February 3

Between half past seven and eight o'clock this morning, a man committed suicide l>y cutting his throat on the Hutt road at Pet-ac. Dr. Hutchison was summoned and ordered his immediate removal to tho hospital, but he was dead on arrival. Papers found on the body identified him as James Quin, n ship's fireman. It is understood that he lived at Normandale.
