"PARTNERS AGAIN."

AN UNLIMITED COMPANY OF LAUGHTER. Potash and Perlmutter, names that savour moro of the humorous imagination of an author than tho approved canons of the Hebrew, aro once again partnors In what tho loquacious and fertile auctioneer would call a going concern, the concern of comedy. Always a good paying proposition, these two astute sons of Israel hovo set their hands to making tho public laugh, and through tho potent medium of tho universal cinema, will appear at the Liberty Theatre next week in "Partners Again," a gleeful and Ingenious comedy-drama with George Sidney and Alexander Carr tho heads of ono of the most astonishing firms in the commercial world. In this vastly amusing number ol tho famous series, tho squabbling partners oro interested in motorcars, always a certain source of Income In the land of the almighty dollar, and, with their eyes on the said dollar. Potash and Perlmnttor do not disdain to employ certain spare parts of a particularly celebrated and metallcallytoncd brand of American car, to the enormous disgust of 'many patrons. Every action of the famous pair, every passage of arms, every piece of witty badinage, bring their quota of mirth, which in most cases amounts to unadorned guffaws. Tho humour of the diction is immense, the broad and refreshink comedy of the action and the frankness and heartiness of the burlesquo all tend to make "Partners Again" a comedy of obviously superior dimensions. Jewish humour possesses a flavour all Its owni it is a little simple, a little callow if we ar» to believe Samuel Goldwyn, the producer, and Montagu Glass, the author, and there is really no reason why one should not believe Samuel Goldwyn; his name has a good, round ring to it. and he ought to know. It would appear that there aro but two actors in all fllmdom capable of portraying the varying emotions and moods of Abe and Mawruss, and they are George Sidney and Alexander Cart They gesticulate wildly; they argue fiercely and illogically; they quarrel indiscriminately, whether they be in the safe confines of their office or soaring in the heavens fn nM an aeroplane. It is all the same to them; they must argue, and. after all. to argue successfully, one must use one s hands; snd aeroplanes are refractory things if not Mtended to. Such bagatelle,, however, trouble not our heroes, and so wo bare a roaring comedy, spiced with romance, sn abundance of thrills, and some of the finest character actins seen in many a day. The two leadins artists aro magnificent and the north- presence of Uosie, wife of Potash, accentuates the comedy of the piece. Allan Forrest and BMty Jcw.M play important eup- - porting roles, supplying tho human interest in pleaslnc fashion. The box plans open at The Bristol Piano Company today, where | «eats may he reserved.
