ARSON CHARGE.
YOUNG MAN BEFORE COURT. A young man named Andrew Blair was arrested by the police and appeared before .Messrs Kennedy and Lack, J l'.'s, at the Gcraldiue Court, yestcrdav, charged with having wilfully *el tiro to a building at the corner ol Talbot and Wilson streets, owned by Mr Howard Tripp. H« was also charged with having set fire to a house owned bv J. W. Brown on -March 30th. Detccfive "Walker, for the Police, asked for a remand, which was not opposed bv Mr Farnic, who appeared for tho accused, and the latter asked that bail 1)6 granted. His application was opposed and was refused, a remand till Monday morning being granted.
