REAR-ADMIRAL HARPER RETIRES

Harper, an ex-New Zealancier, has retired. I.Rear-Admiral Harper is a son of the late Leonard Harper, of tiruton, Somerset, and formerly of Chriatchurch. He was educated at Christ's College, and entered the Nary in 1888. Ho served in the South Airicau War and in the Og;idei» Somali Expedition in 1900. From 1911 to 1914 he was Commander of 11.31. Yacht Victoria and Albert, and from 1923 to 1924 was Naval A.D.C. to the King. He prepared a special report on tiie Battle of Jutland.]
