At a tieeiing of shareholders of tlio Christchurch Starr Bowkett Building Society, held lpst evening, the mm of £IOOO was offered by ballot, and £looo.by tender in each -group. •In No. 1 croup, ball No. 15 was drown, and thin cluster contained 5 shares, entitling the holder to £SOO free loan. Tho £IOOO. was disposed of at £24 per £IOO. In No. 2 Group, bull 15S was drtwn, one shareholder becoming entitled to £SOO free loan. The sum of £SOO was dltposed of at £27 10s.
