The manner in which property in the City of Auckland is constantly appreciating in value is illustrated by the fact that this year the rateable value of property in the city is £2,270,047, an increase of £139,339, or 6J per cent, on the total for last year. The number of assessments this year is £26,344, an increase of 1259.—Phes? Service.
