U.S.A. SEEKS SUITABLE DESIGNS. (Wl CABLE—*BZS« ASSOCIATION— COrtWGHT.) (AUSTRALIAN AND K.Z. CABLt ASSOCIATION.) (Received January 16th, 7.50 p.m.) WASHINGTON, January 16. The Navy Department invited,competitive designs for the two rigid airships authorised by Congress in 1926. The designs must be submitted before May 16th: If Congress fails to apnropriate the money this session thfi' Navy Department will, notwithstanding, pay 50,000 dollars for the winning design.
