HUGE SUM IN DISPUTE. (bt cable—pbess association— coftbight.) (ATJSTBALIAN and n.z. cable association.) (Received January 17th, 5.5 p.m.) PAEIS, January 16. An arbitration case involving £450,000,000, the largest amount ever involved in litigation, will open at The Hague on January 21st. Germany is claiming the right under the Dawes Plan to deduct from reparations payments sums paid to her own nationals for loss of property sequestrated in Allied countries. The Allies are opposing the claim, contending that the Dawes annuities were intended to cover all payments to the Allies, not to German nationals.
