A mob of students, representing the Eukien Students' TJnion, attacked a Spanish Dominican orphanage, vicarage, and church, near Foochow, drove out the Spanish sisters, abducted*. Chinese orphan girls, and looted and wrecked the property. The sisters are safe m the foreign quarter of Nantai. Tho Spanish sisters and priests, except the Bishop, are leaving the port to-day. Although 40,000 National troops occupy Foochow, they did nothing to prevent tho occurrences. FIRST CRUISER SQUADRON - READY. (AtJSISALIAS AND Jf.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION.) (Received January 16th, 11.5 p.m.) LONDON, January 15. The Admiralty announces that the First Cruiser Squadron, consisting of the Frobisher, the Battae the Dragon, the Dauntless, and the Delhi at present in the Mediterranean, has been ordered to be in readiness to proceed to China if required. Sir Austen Chamberlain has cantiilled his weekend visit to Susiex and is r«rnainipg in Lond6n to deal witn th* Chinftse messages.
