SANITARY INSPECTORS.
ANNUAL CONFERENCE. Auckland will be the location of the .annual conference of the New Zealand Sanitary Inspectors' Association this year. A meeting of the General Council will be held on January 24th, and the annual meeting and conference will open the following day; the conference Will continue till the 28th. ,
• -"The main topic for discussion at the last conference," says "The Review," the official organ of the Associations "was 'Education and Examination.' This year's discussion on the same subject should bring us a step nearer our ideals v The proposal that we should take the" initiative in the formation of what will be, in point.of fact, a New Zealand Sanitary Institute will need some' careful consideration." The conference will be opened by the Mayor of Auckland (Mr Geo. Baildcui) on the morning of the 25th. In the afternoon a lecture will be given by Mr A, J. Parker, analyst. Otf January 26th Mr T. V. Gulliver is to give a lecture on "Activated Sludge," and in the evening Dr. T. J. Hughes, M.0.H., Auckland Centre, will give a lecture. On the afternoon of January 27th Mr J. P. Finlay will lecture on "Court Practice and Procedure." and a lecture will be given by Mr F L. Armitage, FjC.S., bacteriologist.
In addition to these lectures a number of remits and other conference business will bo dealt with.
