Harbour Light Theatre, There was a well-filled house at the Harbour Light Theatre on Saturday night, when "The Lucky Lady," starring Greta Nissen and Lionel Barrymore, was screened, together with a scenic, gazette, and a Jimmy Aubrey comedy. Mr Robert Allison, ever popular in Lyttelton, sang three songs in his usual pleasing manner, and was heartily The picture portion of the programme will be repeated this evening. Tomorrow, "How Baxter Butted In," starring Matt Moore and Dorothy Devore, will be screened, together with a comedy, cartoon, and the seventh round of "Fighting Blood." Swimming. The Lyttelton Ladies' Swimming Club held a series of three races on Saturday afternoon at the Corsair Bay baths. Conditions were good, and some close finishes resulted. The entries were small. The results were as follows: 25yds Club Handicap.—Miss Mary Pitcaithly (6sec) 1, Miss Myra Sutton (Bsec) 2. Miss Nellie Pitcaithly (ssec), Miss V. Livingston (3sdc), Miss R. Bundy (4sec), and Miss Rona Shadbolt (scr) also started. 50yds Handicap.—Miss Rona Shadbolt (scr) I, Miss N. Pitcaithly (2sec) 2, Miss Myra Sutton (lOsoc) 3. Miss V. Livingston (2sec), Miss G. Shepheard (lOsec), Miss R. Bundy (sse'c) also started. School Girls' Race.—Betty Weastell (2sec) 1, Ruth Madden (7sec) 2, Zoe Hudson (scr) 3. Gun Club. Tho Lyttelton Gun Club's opening day took place at Officers' Point on Saturday. It was also ladies' day, when members of tho club shot for prizes for tho ladies. The members shot for a cup presented by Messrs Hammond and Turner, and a miniature cup presented to the winners by the Lyttelton Gun Club, 15 birds off handicap distances. Schenkell, Mrs Turner gave her prize to the winner of the nut match of 9 birds, which was won by A. R. Turner, lan Gardiner, and W. Grennell. In the shoot off W. Grennell won on the first round. In the first miss out W. Whitford, Mcßurney, and Roberts divided the stake on the eighth round. The members of the club presented the secretary, Mr W. Whitford, with a gold medal for services to the club as secretary.
