Miami, Miami beach and homestead, Little River, Lemo City, Hialeah, Miami shored and coral, Glades, Ojus, Dallandale, Hollywood, Davie Dania, Port Lauderdale, Prospecto, Florano. Pompano, Deorfield, Gelray, Lakeworth, and Boyntou, are among the cities and towns completely destroyed, or those which have suffered extensive damage. This is estimated at 100,000,000 dollars. The very life of these communities is at a standstill. Thousands of people aro cowering in improvised shelters waiting for food and aid from the army rescue trains which are now leaving from inland Florida cities Correspondents who spent twentyfour hours in attempt-ins to penetrate the devastated areas, report that the coastguard who are normally stationed in these parts are now patrolling the streets and giving such aid as they can under a system of improvised martial law.

Governor Martin, of Florida, declared martial law for the other destroyed communities, and troops and trains are en rcute to fake command of the situation.
