TIMARU OPERATIC SOCIETY.
There was a large attendance at the Theatre Eoyol last evening, when the Operatic Society presented tho well-known musical comedy, "Florodora,'' The production was highly successful, and the months of. preparation that the members have undergone was amply rewarded in the enthusiasm with which their offering was received. Tho work of the principals, Mrs E lo Cren, Misses C. Mcintosh, U. Hutt, Messrs A. Shrimpton, T. Ryan, and C. Wheeler, wa3 highly creditable, while the success of the ballet and orchestral work was due to tho efforts of ;Mr A. \V. Vine The major portion of the credit was owing, however, to the'untiring work of tho producer. Mrs A. Shrimpton, and the efficiency that was maintained undoubtedly bore the hallmark of her professional experience. Tho performance will be repeated to-night.
