BALL AT CLARKVILLE.

Good weather favoured the Eyre Foot- ' ball Club for its first annual ball, held in the Clarkvillo Peace Hall recently. The decorations were of black and | white streamers and multi-coloured bal-. loons. The music was supplied by the Oust Jaz-s Orchestra, and Messrs 11. Baynon and H. Giles were efficient M.C.'s. Progressive euehre was played in the supper-room, the prize-winners being Mrs (i. H. ITassall and Mr V. Giles. The winners of the luck « pot were Miss Mavis Holland aud Mr C. Holland, of the Monte Carlo Miss Mavis Stratford and Mr J. W. O'Couuor, and or! the waltzing competition Miss Mavis Holland and Mr Richards. Mr B. Henderson thanked all who had helped to make the club a success, and presented Mr 11. Baynon with a trophy, given by Mr E; Brown, for the most improved, player during the 'season.
