THE DYING HOUR.
TO THE EDITOR OP THE TRESS. Sir,—l don't sec how the conservative "Lancet," with its old-fashioned methods, can teach its readers much on this subject. Stead's "Julia" tells how she found herself / standing up naked looking at her body lying.ou the bed. The experience of dying (which is spiritual birth) is much more varied than that of physical birth. Wc are all being taught.more or less how-to die, and it will be a fine thing when nurses, doctors, and priests know more about the science of dying than they,-do now. Deathbed attentions often are mistakenly offered kindnesses.—Yours, etc., • ■ PETER TROLOVE, St. Andrew's Hill, September 18th, 192 C.
