GENERAL COMMITTEE. A moeting of the General Committee of the Northern Agricultural and Pastoral Association was held yestorday morning. The president, Mr 0. Mcintosh, was in the chair and 31 members were present. A motion Of sympathy was passed to Mr J. It. Oorbett, a former member of the committee, in connexion with tha death of his The chairman reported that the Grounds Committee had met on the ground, and recommonded that a further 600 trees bo planted. The recommendation was adopted. The chairman explained that tho tag Of £lO on the balance-sheet had been traced by tho New Zealand Farmers' Co-op. Association, where the mistake had been made. Mr Banks, chairman of the Finance Committee, reported that the accounts'had been carefully gone into, and the moneys were correct. On the general account there was £l4O in subscriptions owing, and £IBO in special prizos to como in. Since tha annual moeting' a number of accounts had been received which should have been rendered earlier. The debit balance of the Association, instead of being about £97, waa- about £230. The report Was adopted. The secretary, BtW. B. Pike, wot* resigning his position, owing to a Breakdown in health. Mcintosh reported, on behalf of the Rub-committob appointod to .inspect the different paddocks offered for the.match, that Mr James Wyllio's offer of a paddook of. 38 acres at Softon was most suitable, and recommended its acceptance, which was approved.
