Sandringham, the .Norfolk residence of the late Queeu Alexandra, was bought by King Edward for £200,000 in the first place; but the estate has been greatly enlarged since. Jackdaws, magpies, squirrels, hedgehogs, cranes, peacocks, and swan? were popular dishes in the Middle Ages.
