WU PEI-FU ADVANCES. ACUTE FOOD SHORTAGE. (BI CABll—nuus (ATOTRALIAS: tm K.l ouu absociatiow.) PEKING, June 18. Shansi forces are now holding their own against the Kuomlnchun. (National Party) invaders, while other forces of General Wn Pei-fo are advancing against the Kuominebun, Shansi shellflre caused the blowing" up of large supplies of Kuominohun ammunition at Tatnng station, in Northern Shansi. Acute food shortage is reported in Kalgan, which is the headquarters of the Kuomlnchun. Several members of Cabinet, in addition to Dr. Wellington Koo, have now taken up portfolios. Hence the political situation is better, though it is not expected that Mr Yen will remain Prime .Minister for long.
