ILLEGAL TRAWLING.
(press association telegbam.) AUCKLAND, June 20. John Veale, master of the trawler Countess, owned by Sanford, Ltd., was fined £5 for trawling inside limits in the Hauraki Gulf. The : Magistrate (Mr; E.'C. Cutten) said he did not think' the defendant had any deliberate intention, but was cutting it fine. He tad no business 'to take risks." The Magistrate said that in the circumstances he did not think the Minister should impose any further penalty.
