Governor's Bay Motor Service. Commencing yasterduy, the Governor's Bay motor service wilt run to winter timetable. Cars will,leave Lyttelton for Teddinglon, and Tedflington for Lyttelton, mornings daily, and on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday afternoons. The direct service between Governor's Bay and Christchurch will run on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays only, Waterfront Dispute. Messrs J. Flood (secretary) and W. K. Agar and E. Maefarlane, representing the Lyttelton Waterside Workers' Union, and ifr J. Garrard and Captaii| F. S. Horn, representing the shipping companies, left by last night's ferry steamer for Wellington, where they will attend a special conference called to deal with mutters in dispute in the recent waterfront trouble. Magistrate's Court. Messrs T. K. Sutton, J.P., and _F. G. Norton, J.P., presided ai the Magistrate's (Jour* yesterday. Two first offenders for drui.'.enness were convicted and fined 10s each. William Hay, a member of the crew of an overseas vessel in port, was charged with assault and causing actual bodily harm. On the application of Sergeant Almond, who stated that the victim of the alleged assault was still in hospital, a remand was granted until to-morrow. Edward Hodgson, a member of tho crew of the Korean Prince, was charged with using obscene language and with having assaulted Constable W. J. Irwin in the execution of his duty. He pleaded guilty to both charges. Sergeant Almond stated that while the constable was arresting a drunken man, accused interfered, and struck the constable several timos. The latter released the drunken man and arrested the accused. Accused stated that he was only trying to get the drunken man back to his ship. Hodgson was convicted and fined £lO for obscene language, and £5 for tho assault.
