"THE DOGS."

STUDENTS' REVUE. For a aeaaon of four llighla, beginning Wednesday, May l!}lh, the Canterbury College students will stage their annual revue, this year named "The Dogs," at the l.'horal Hall. The rovue was to be stayed at tho Theatre Royal on these date», but owing to a Inst minuto change in tho Williamson itinerary it has been found necessary to use the Choral Hall. However, this building will f>e transformed, and tho production will be ope of the most ambitious yet produced by Canterbury College students. It contains a feast of pleasure for all tastes. The plot ia eminently original. The seaport town of Lyttelton will be tho scene of the "first spasm," with its seafaring skippers and its caro-froo 'tars." With a boatload of maidens, the captain heads his boat for an entrancing isle in the South Seas, where tho next "spasm" is enacted. The performance »• brought to finality in a whirl of gaiety and happiness. A good cast has been obtained, and the ballots have been well trained. The costuming of tho ballets will be a feature of the production. Rehearsals are proceeding apace under the baton of Mr A. Rendle, who is this year's producer. "The Dogs" will be ushered in by the Btudents' procession, which will be held on Wednesday, May 12th. The annual Diploma ball will be held in the Art Gallery after the revue on the Friday night. The box plan for the revue is on view at The Bristol.
