INSPECTION OF CADETS.

Prior to the annual potting of Cadets to the Territorials, which takes place this month, the 4th Cadet Battalion was inspected last night in tho King Edward Barracks bj tho Officer Commanding the Southern Command, Colonel it. il. Gard'ner, D.5.0., accompanied by Lieutenant-Colonel N. W. B. Thorns, D.5.0., M.C., and Major B. A. Row, L>.8.0. The parade strength Was 18 officers and 1480 other ranks, commanded by Major B. W. Brooker, M.0., and Captain W; Murphy, Adjutant to the 4th Cadet Battalion. the parade marched past in column of route, headed by the Battalion Band and Bugle Band, and was later addressed by Colonel Gard'heft who congratulated the battalion Upon its steadiness and the excellent discipline maintained. The companies were under the commands of Captain J. 0. Greeti* wood, M.C. (A. Company); Lieutenant L. Ensof (B Company), Captain L. R. Austin (C Company), Lieutenant T. H.
