PANTOMIME SEASON.

"THE NEW ALADDIN." "With its great variety of specialities and features, the pantomime "The Xew Aladdin" should delight young and old. It is one of the stories which loses nothing by tho passage of time. In the latest presentation of the 'Williamson management, every effort has been made (o stage a pantomime in full keeping with the traditions of this class of entertainment. The Dame, to whom all pantomime lovers look for much of the fun of the piece, is Widow Twankey, played by Mr Bruce Green. Many humorous moments are provided by the troubles of Aladdin and his adopted brother, a youth named'Wishee (Mr G » us . Miss Floie Allan plays the part of Aladdin, and Hiss Roma Phillips makes a dainty princess. "The Xew Aladdin" was first produced at the London Palladium, whero it had a phenomenallv successful run which was repeated 'at Melbourne and Adelaide. From there it has been transported to 2, ew i 1 Z ? ali "? d m ,ts entirety, and opens its Christchurch season at the Theatre Roval next Saturday The dressing and scenery ire superb, and the music right through exquisite, including many of the latest hit* which will be whistled and sung all ove r Kew Zealand soon. Incuded amongst these are "Our ''Seminola " "r m Afraid fo Love, iou Forgot to Remember," nnd "Ukelele Lady." The marvellous stage effects are due to the wonderful stage management of Mr J. C. Whitfield. The box plans for the season open at The Bristol Piano Company on Thursday morning.
