TRAINING COLLEGE TOURNAMENT.
WELLINGTON V. CHRISTCHURCH
j This week the teachers of the rival Training Colleges, Wellington and Cliristchurch, will lay aside tlieir pens and note-books and turn their attention to the serious business of sport. The tournament commences tomorrow, and will conclude on Thursday, when the visitors will depart for Wellington. The programme is a comprehensive one, including tennis, debating, swimming, ladies' and men's hockey, basketball, and football. Boih teams are condent of success, and their metting in ail departments will be well worth watching, • as the Wellingtonians will provide strong opposition. To-morrow at 1 p.m. the ball will be set in motion on the Canterbury College tennis courts. The following tennis players will represent Christchurch Training College:—Ladies: • Misses X. Percy, N. Cowan, N. Ives, and K.. Scott; men; G. Robinson/ R. Carleton, L. Ashton, and C. Murly.
