PIGEON FLYING.
CHRISTCHURCH HOMING SOCIETY. The Christchurch Homing Pigeon Society flew their third race from St. Andrew s recently. The birds were liberated in fair weather at 10.30 a.m. The winning bird was R. Harding's Golden Quiver, which flew the distance of 100 miles air-line in 2hr 42mm. The results were as follows: yds. per «mn. E. Harding's Golden Quiver .. 1086 F. Harvey's Mercury .. .. 1050 A.
