STRAND THEATRE.
The new programme fit the Strand to be I screened to-day includes "Cuvlytop," featuring Shirley llason and "The Outlaw's Daughter," starring Josie Sidgwick. Shirley Mason,.as the loveable little rogue "Curleytop," rises to dramatic heights in this film. The story has been adapted to the screen from one of the tales in the famous "liimehouse Nights," by Thomas 'Burke. "Curleytop" is a mysterious waif of the London wharf district, who incurs the enmity of a girl known as Bessie, in the love of Bill Branigan, a venturesome character iu the underworld. The tale works vigorously and quickly "P to n startling climax, which is entirely 'inuvßjJbxrted. "The Outlaw's Daughter." It tells now Flora, the daughter of an outlaw leader, swears vengeance on' the man she believes killed her father'ln » sctrffle with a posse of cowboys. But she finds that the man she has set out to kill is handsome, young, and innocent. The ending is happy. A comedy, a n«lws film, and the third episode of "The Scarlet Stroak" round off an excellent programme.
