An agreement for funding France's war debt to this country was reached late, to-day, when, after 4 brief conference over the French reply to a request for a revision of the recent settlement of the offer, the' Vuited States Commission •went to.White House and laid.the proposal before President Coolidge for approval,Members of 1 the COmmissiou ' recognise that bitter opposition is "likely to develop both in the United States-'and Frauec. Ratification by Congress this session is problematical. . Payments are to-be made over a period of 02 years, on the total said to be agreed upon as 6,847,000,000 dollars, iu annual.instalments of 30,000,000 dollars for the next two years, graduating to a maximum of 125,060,000 dollars. ■ .
