GRAND NATIONAL RAFFLE. . (PSESS iSSOCUtIOV TXUOSJLH.) OAMARU, April 27. Tie Grand National Baffle promoted in Oamaru was drawn to-night. It was announced that the gross receipts totalled £48,000, and the expenses £22,000. It is claimed that the expenses are less than for any preceding raffle. The amount to be divided amongst the promoting sports bodies will be from £25,000 to £26,000. The local postal revenue was augmented by approximately £4OOO. The net receipts will be divided as follows: Oamaru Jockey Club and Oamaru Trotting Club £7500 each, Golf Club £6250, Kurow Jockey Club and Foreshore Society £1875 each. The second prize (£350) goes to Edgar B. Hodson, Aard Garage, Wanganui, and the third prize of £IOO, to H. S, Smith, Coronation road, Papatoetoe.
