He volunteered for active service in the Great War, and joined the dental con» at Tkentjjtanit accompanying the New Zealand troops to tCgypt. Subsequent!* he *u recalled and at>oointed to the dental staff of Featherston* training camp. Upon'receiving his discbarge from military service he established himself in practice in Masterton, where he was when he applied for and received appointment to the staff of the Dental School in 1920. He received his degree of D.DJ3. in 1924, and waa the first person to obtain ts*t degree from the New Zealand University, ?•» curing it as the reeult of a brilliant research work. MISS FRANCES BOSS. Rigs, well-known in banking circles throughout Australia and New Zealand. During his 40 years' servioe with the Bank of New Zealand he had been manager in Melbourne and Sydney, and, previous to his retirement two yean ago* was chief of the staff.
