MILLIONAIRE'S DONATION. (DY CABLE—PfIESS ASSOCIATION—COPTEIGHT.I (AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION. > PARIS, April 25. Sir Basil Zaharoff, the Greek millionaire and international financier, has subscribed 1,000,000 francs to the "Save-the-franc" Fund. [Sir Basil, who was born a Bulgar-ian-Greek, of no fortune, is known as Europe's "Mystery Financier." He first made money from iron ore in Spain. The Vickers firm was looking for hematite at the time, and Zaharoff was able to attain a supreme position with the firm. During the war he was the principal financier of Greece, in which country he holds big oil concessions. He has been decorated by King George, and is an ardent admirer of France, where he lives the greater part of his time. His wife, a French aristocrat, died in February.]
