The "Daily News'' prophesies that the Budget will" include a shilling in the £1 tax on credit betting. Automobile taxation will be Iftsed on increased revenue from road users. There will be increased taxation on commercial motors, jewels, and furs, and protective duties on foreign commercial motors and wrapping papers. There will be five years' extension of the key industry duties, but a reduction of income-tax or general taxation is not anticipated. Some new revenue taxes are probable. Mr Winston Churchill will bring down a Budget to produce a surplus, thereby meeting coal emergency obligations from revenue instead of borrowing.
