ft .. 1 • HAWARDEN BRANCH. At the first annual meeting of the Hawarden branch of tho Plunket Society, the president, Mrs C. H. Willis,, was in the chair. The lion, secretary and treasurer, Mrs W. T. Kutherford, read the annual report and balance-sheet, which were considered very satisfactory, and were adopted. Tho balance-sheet showed a credit balance of' £54 4s 7d. The election of officers, for the coming year resulted as follows:—President, Mrs C. H. Willis; vice-presidents, Mesdames J. Doak, J. Croft, F. D. Dal.zell, J. K. Forrester, and J. Quigley; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mrs W. G. Kutherford; committee, . Mesdames Campbell, J. A. Forrester, 'H. S. Ginders, B. J. 1 o 'Carroll, D. Sidey, J.' Thomas, L. Wood, J. F. Cracroft Wilson, J. W. Wright, and Miss Lance. The secretary's report referred to the excellent work done by the nurse for mothers and babies during the past year, a large number of babies having been' attended' at i the ' room, or at their own - homes. The thanks of the Society were due to all those who have contributed to make the past year a success, especially to Mrs H. T. Little for pro-, moting two very successful dances, and to the Methodist Church for tho use of their Guild room for the nurse. At the close of the meeting afternoon tea was provided by the president, Mrs *C. H. Willis.
