Fifteen years ago, Edward Holloway showed specimens of rich gold which he reported he had discovered' at Narrandyte. Within a week, through bursting a blood-vessel, he died, without disclosing the whereabouts of his find. Exhaustive searches since have failed to locate the find, until Tuesday, when three men from Melbourne, working throughout the night, announced that they had rediscovered the lost reef. They claimed it to be a continuation of j the Caledonian Mine lode, from which 11000 ounces of gold were takes. |' Immediately a rush set in, and all the ground in the vicinity has been pegged out, including the police station yard.
