CYCLING.
MAIREHAU CLUB ROAD RACE. The Mairehau Sports Club held a 13-mile road race at Mairehau on Saturday afternoon, twenty-five riders starting. A very close finish resulted as follows: D, E. Speirs (hdcp. lmin), time, 33min 23sec .. .. i G. G. Chapman (3Jmin), 3Smin 53 1-5 sec .. .. .. .. 2 L. Pither (2Jmin), 35min 8 2-ssec .. 8 A. J. Archer (2min), 34min 23 3-ssec 4 The fastest time was registered by A Leatham (scr), who covered the distance in 33min 21sec.
