♦ Harbour Light Theatre. There was a full house at the Harbour Light Theatre on Saturday night, when "Under the Bed Robe," a drama of old France, starring Alma Rubens, was screened. The supporting programme included an amusing cartoon and a gazette. An added attraction was the appeafanco of Ronnie and Monty, two vaudeville artists, who provided entertaining offering of song and patter. "Under the Red Robe" will be repeated this ovening. To-morrow, "The Sunshine Trail," starring Douglas McLean, will be screened, together with an Urban Chat comedy, and a further episode of "Wolves of the North." Friday next, at 8 p.m., will see the return, for one night only, of "The English Futurists," tho Cabaret Revuo company which met with such an enthusiastic reception at this theatre a few weeks ago. The reserve plan for "The Futurists" opens at Hntton's to-dny. Hockey Club Dance. The Trinity Hockey Club held a most enjoyable danco in the Excelsior Hall on Saturday evening. There were about sixty couples present, and spirited dance music was providod by Miss D. Jones's Orehfestra. Mr A. Graham was M.C. A lucky-spot waltz was won by Miss Scott and Mr S. Bamford. Traffic Control. The first attempt at traffic control in Lyttelton took place yesterday during the Anzac Day service and proved most successful. The four roadß leading to the Cenotaph were closed to all vehicular traffic. On the Sumner road a ropo barrier was erected with a constable in charge, and some scores of motors which arrived over the hill from Sumner were diverted 'to another route, so that the service would not bo interrupted.
