THE MILLION GRANT. (FROM oca OWN CORRESPONDENT.) LONDON, March 10.. Nothing has so far been heard of the results of tlio recent meetings of the Imperial Economic Committee. It was reported that the Secretary for Dominion Affairs, as a result' of these me j, would shortly be able to make a : statement regarding the million grant for assisting ana advertising Dominion produce. According to the Parliamentary correspondent of the "Daily Telegraph," disappointment is expressed in Parliamentary circles regarding the delay. It will be remembered that in its first report, the Economic Committee recommended the establishment of a permanent board, or commission, to supervise the spending «f the grant, [t became necessary for the Colonial Office to draw up a scheme under which effect could be given to this suggestion, and a considerable amount of: time has been occupied'in consulting with overseas Governments on the.subject. Dominion approval of the method to be pursued' J8 regarded .as alwoih'tply essential. and it is authoritatively stated that the exchange of vifitys will he completed in a. few d(iys. In thes. circumstances there is every expectation in Government circles tliat Mr Amery, the Secretary for Dominion Affairs, will be in a nosition to make a statement in Parliament before. Easter.
