WAGES OF SEAMEN.
A CONFERENCE SOUGHT. (PRESS ASSOCIATION TELZ3RAII.) WELLINGTON, April 23. The Seamen's Union having cancelled its registration under the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act. any new agreement as to wages and conditions will have to be reached outside of the Court. Negotiations are now proceeding between the Union and the ship-owners with a view to arranging a conference. The claims by the seamen have already been submitted to the employers, but the nature of these has not been disclosed yet.
