Russo-Gemian trade is expected to be considerable, a result which ia imputed from the German Government guaranteeing that German firms prepared to supply certain articles, chiefly heavy machinery, to Russia on credit, shall obtain at least 60 per cent, of the money owing them by the Russian buyer should the latter and the Russian State Bank at Moscow, which is the guarantor for the buyer, both fail to pay. The German guarantee covers 60 per cent, of £15,000,000 worth of goods.
