ANZAC BAY.

• —- OBSERVANCE ON SUNDAY. PROCESSION AND SERVICE. Anzao Day (Sunday) will be observed this year by a comprehensive programme of arrangements. The parade will fall in at Cranmer square at 1.46 p.m., returned soldiers wearing mufti and medals. Wreathbearers will fall in at Jellicoe Hall at 1.30 p.m. The procession will be under the command of Oolonei Hugh Stewart and Captain W. R. Lascelles, and will march off at 2 p.m. The route will be as follows:—Chester street to Victoria street, down Colombo street, along Cashel street; halt for one .minute at the Bridge of Remembrance, where a wreath will bo placed, the par* ade marching with uncovered heads across the Bridgo to King Edward Barracks, where the Citizens' Memorial Service will commence at 2.30. The procession will assume the following order: —Woolston Band, gun carriage, firing party, wreath-bearers, disabled soldiers, old veterans, Municipal Band, nurses. Veterans' Association, Caledonian Society's Pipe Band, returned soldiers (Australian, New Zealand, and exrlmperial), Linwood Salvation Army Band, Territorials and band, Cadets, Boy Scouts, and Girl Guides. The Service. The Mayor (Mr J. K. Archer) will preside at the service in the Barracks. An address will be given by the Hon. L. M. Isitt, M.L.C., and the lesson will be read by the Bishop of Christchurch, R.t. Rev. Campbell "West-Watson. Othera assisting in the service will be Canon W. S. Bean, Revs. L. B. Neale, H. L. Blamires, 0. A. Fraer, and Major Bean (Salvation Army). A choir of 100 voices, under the baton of Mr Sidney Williamson, will sing the hymns, and • Derry's Military Band will play the accompaniments. The "Last Post" will be sounded by ex-Sergeant-Major F. Fox and ex-Q.M.S. B. Fox. The musical part of the service will "be as follows: —Hymn, "Q Valiant Hearts" ; chorus. "With Proud Thanksgiving," "The Nameless Graves"; chorale, "God Defend New Zealand"; hymn, "God of Our Fathers." Derry's Band will play the funeral march, "Garland of Flowers" (Boyer): air varie, "Maidstone" (Ord Hume), and the "Dead Maroh" in "Saul." Madame Gower-Burns will siiig the solo, "I Know that My Redeemer Liveth," and the sen-ice will conclude with the Benediction. After the service the parade will fall in again in Cashel street, march along Oxford terrace to Worcester street, and to the Cathedral, where the wreaths will be received. Holders of seats in blocks 1 and 2 (next-of-kin and public bodies) will enter the Barracks by the Cashel street middle door. Blocks 4 and 5 will enter by the first Cashel street door. Territorials will enter from Montreal street. A collection will be taken up at the Bnrracks to defray expenses. The service will be broadcast from the Barracks by 3AC and relayed by the New Zealand Radio Broadcasting Company.
