FUNERAL.
i ♦ THE LATE MR AMBROSE JOHNSTONE. The very large and representative company -which attended the fuueral of the late Mr Ambrose Johnstone at the Sydenham Cemetery yesterday testified to the general esteem in which the deceased was held. Tho llev. J. D. Webster, of St. David's, Sydenham, to ninth church the family had belonged for a great many years, officiated at the services, both "at his late residence, ''Kilbirnie," and at tho graveside. The pall-bearers wero Messrs A. L. Piper and Walter Johnstone (nephews) and Messrs R. Sinclair and Geoige Wilson, of the staff of Andersons, Ltd. Tho chief mourners wero Messrs Ales., Herbert, Archie, Rudwin, and Gordon Johnstone (sons), Mr Arthur Johnstone (brother), and Masters Ronald A.Smith ar.d Raymond Bascand, grandsons; Messrs E. D. Johnson, Robert Wilson. W. Manning (brothers-in-law), and Messrs H. C. Smith, E. K. Bamfield, and A. C. Barnes (sons-in-law), Messrs James Kidd, Arthur Johnstone, Fred. Johnstone, Jack Douglas, W. H. Young, and H. Johnson (nephews). Amongst those present were:—Messrs Best (president) and Ackroyd representing the Beekeepers' Association, Messrs Arthur Smith, D. Allingham, Fred Dacre, and J. M. McLean the Fanciers' Clubs, Messrs A. and F. Anderson, representing Andersons, Ltd., Messrs Graham and Robert Wilson, of Graham, Wilson, and Smellie, Messrs G. T. Weston, T. Wood. W. Steele, A.
