PROTECTION OF WOMEN AND CHILDREN.
ANNUAL MEETING OF SOCIETY. The Bociety for the Protection of Women and Children held its annual meeting last night. The Rev. 0. A. Fraer presided over a good attendance of members. In proposing the adoption of the annual report, Mr D. G. Sullivan, M.P., said that his duties prevented him from taking an active part in the Society. In proposing a vote of thanks to officers of the Society, Bishop Brodie stated that the number of cases dealt with was stupendous—--675 cases had been dealt with during the year, while 8396 visits had been made at the office.
