TRAMPERS' REUNION.
A reunion of the members of the Christchurch Tramping Club's camp at the headwaters of the Waimakariri last Easter was held in the Y.M.C.A. last evening, ilr G. NV Carrington showed a number of slides taken up the river on the present and on previous trips. These slides showed all phases of the varied scenery of that mountain region from the point where the train Is left to the camrt and thence on the various trips available from that base. It is now certain that a party will go up the river during May with the object of building a hut (for which the Government has made a grant of £SO) or doing track work. In case more money is needed, it is possible that a public showing of the slides will be mado to raise funds.
