A telegram fram Winnipeg states that the Governor-General, Lord Byng, in a farewell tour of Western Canada, was confined aboard his car through an infected foot, the result of a war wound. He was compelled to forgo public functions, but Lady Byng accepted demonstrations of loyalty and affection on bohalf of herself and her husband.
